What an experience! Cocina Latina (“The Latin Kitchen”) is the place for a real “home-style” Mexican food experience – “autentico sabor Mexicano.”

Mother and son, Fausta and Emmanuel, work hard every day to delight the taste buds with specials that are truly special. Each Monday through Friday begins with a breakfast special – Mexican style. The specials vary from day to day and week to week, so they don't appear on the printed menu. Instead, the staff at Cocina Latina writes them on the chalk board that hangs on the dining room wall. Breakfast specials are served from restaurant opening ( 9:00 am ) until . . . the food is gone.

Saturday and Sunday have their specials, as well. Only on these days will you find lamb soup and lamb barbeque – Cocina Latina's signature dishes. While not breakfast items, the staff begin serving these dishes as soon as they're ready. And they continue serving until . . . well, you know! If you wait later in the day to order one of the lamb specials, you might be disappointed. These items are very popular, and they disappear quickly. And because the cooking process for the lamb is more tedious and time-consuming than other dishes, only one “batch” of soup and barbeque is made each Saturday and Sunday.

You'll find all the traditional Mexican dishes on Cocina Latina's menu, like tacos and burritos and fajitas and quesadillas, flan and tres leches cake and shakes. You'll also find entrees featuring pork, for example Chorizo (Spicy Pork) or Pastor (Marinated Pork); chicken, such as Pechuga Asada (Grilled Chicken Breast); and seafood, like Filete de Tilapia Empanizado (Breaded Tilapia Fish) and Caldo de Camarón (Shrimp Soup).

To make the selection easier, menu descriptions are written in Spanish and English. Regardless of your selection, once you have finished the meal you'll say “deliciosos!”
