Dim Sum

Type of Cuisine: Chinese

At Charlotte 's Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant, you'll find more than just dim sum. It's true this restaurant offers up a lengthy menu of those sampling-size treats to be shared among the table – treats known as “dim sum.” But Dim Sum, the restaurant, offers much more than that!

Their menu includes soup and appetizers; lunch specials and dinner entrees; pan fried noodles and rice; beef, pork, seafood, and vegetables entrees. “Popular” Chinese dishes are to be found (like Moo Goo Gai Pan and chop suey). But you'll also find more unusual offerings, such as Amooy Chow Mai Fun.

The selection of pan fried noodles is especially notable. Pan fried noodles are yellow egg noodles that have been fried to a crisp. At Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant the list includes beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and vegetable pan fried noodles. Rumor has it that the seafood pan fried noodles are a favorite of one of Taste of the World's very own!

The separate “dim sum” (sampling-size) menu is extensive. Among other items, dumplings and buns, stuffed duck feet, and beef rice noodle crepe are included. On week-ends, the sweet pastry “dim sum” are offered: egg custard tarts, baked pineapple buns, and baked coconut buns.

The food at Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant is billed as “authentic Chinese cuisine.” When dining there, you're sure to see the owner, Yee Kam, who hails from Hong Kong . With this credential, you know the food is authentic. And with 10 years of successful business operation, you know the food is great!

Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant is open for continuous serving seven (7) days a week. Menu items are available for dine-in or for take out.
