Diatra Fullwood, a North Carolina native, who grew up in Morganton, went to school at NC State and moved to Charlotte in 1993. Most of her career has, with the exception of two years managing Wachovia’s Executive Dining Room, been with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. She began at the Charlotte Coliseum, then became a manager with Visit Charlotte and now serves as Assistant General Manager of Bojangles’ Entertainment Complex (Bojangles’ Coliseum & Ovens Auditorium).
With long, intense work hours, her involvement in the community brings fulfillment and balance to her life. Past volunteer leadership has been with Junior League of Charlotte, Levine Museum of the New South and several other nonprofit and community-based groups. Presently, she serves on the Board of Visitors at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden and is a member of Charlotte Garden Club. She loves flowers and often relaxes and unwinds by gardening. She also enjoys traveling the US and exploring NC's vineyards and off-the-beaten-path treasures.
She has an affinity for East Charlotte, since a large share of her time is spent at Bojangles’ Entertainment Complex. She became a Board member to learn more about the vibrant East Charlotte community and to connect with opportunities to support and preserve the things that make it so special.
