Noah Mesgane

Originally born in Ethiopia to Eritrean parents, Noah has been a
Charlotte resident for the last six years. Today, he is an active
member of the East Charlotte community and the proud owner of
Queen Sheba Ethiopian Bar and Restaurant, an East Charlotte
establishment that has participated in Taste of the World since
2012.

Before becoming the owner of Queen Sheba in 2013, Noah
was simply a regular who saw an opportunity for the restaurant to
become more than just place to eat. With his great vision and
guidance, Queen Sheba has not only become a gathering place
where community members can share perspective and great food,
but also a hub for him and his fellow Ethiopian community members
to reconnect with their heritage.

In 2014, Noah decided he wanted to serve an even larger purpose in his community and joined the CharlotteEAST board. In his role, he engages with local stakeholders and neighborhood leaders who share his passion for community improvement. Together, they have been able to help positively shape the image of East Charlotte and contribute to the welfare of its residents.

In addition to CharlotteEAST, Noah also serves as a board member of Eritrean Catholic of Greater Charlotte. When he’s not attending board meetings, managing his restaurant, or working on community initiatives, you might find Noah reading a good book or planning his next trip to some exciting new destination.
