Sharon Trice-Bodrick is a thirty- year resident of east Charlotte where she and her husband Leonard raised their five children- all of whom graduated from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System (CMS). Her passions are child literacy and community engagement. Sharon is a CMS reading buddy and mentor volunteer. She is co-owner and one of the principal grant writers of L& S Holdings, a small minority-owned consulting business developed to help nonprofits write competitive grant applications. Sharon has developed grant applications for PTAs and neighborhood organizations.
She is a former Board member of the Country Club Heights Neighborhood Association and assisted her neighbors and Board to write a successful grant proposal to preserve the healthy tree canopy in the Country Club Heights Community in east Charlotte. Sharon led the CharlotteEAST Board’s effort on its first Neighborhood Matching grant awarded by the City of Charlotte in 2018 to support its most successful Taste of the World event. Sharon is the Community Liaison between the Shamrock Drive communities and the Arts and Science Council for a public art grant to commission artwork in East Charlotte.
She also served as past secretary for the CharlotteEAST Board for 2017-2018.
