Tesha is a licensed Registered Nurse with more than 20 years of diverse healthcare experience. Her strong clinical and team building skills led her on the path of nursing leadership, where she empowered and inspired others to pursue their dreams. Passionate about helping others, Tesha founded Promise Youth Development, a non-profit organization focused on youth development for school aged youth. The organization provides consistent mentorship and advocacy for at risk youth in East Charlotte. As a grassroots organization, coupled with the ongoing challenges the youth and their families experience, Tesha sought to align with reputable organizations that were genuinely interested in investing in youth and “revitalizing” East Charlotte. CharlotteEast topped the list and was highly recommended. After attending a few board meetings and learning about their mission and vision, she was inspired by the advocacy efforts for the community and became a board member of CharlotteEast. Tesha enjoys serving on the board and the friendships she’s made with other board members. You’ll find her dancing or searching for vacation deals in her spare time.
